Frankly, this proves that lesbians have better taste than Maxim readers. (Or maybe it proves that everybody has better taste than Maxim readers.)
In response to Maxim’s Hot 100 list, AfterEllen.com, a website that reports on lesbian and bisexual women in entertainment and the media, created the AfterEllen.com Hot 100 list. They asked their readers to vote for their own sexiest celebrities, and thousands of votes later they came up with a list of actually beautiful women:
How is our list different from Maxim’s? Eight of the top 10 women on our list aren’t mentioned anywhere on the Maxim list (Angelina Jolie and Lena Headey are the exceptions), and only four of the women who made Maxim’s top 10 (Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel and Lindsay Lohan) appear somewhere on the AfterEllen.com list.
Clearly, what straight men and lesbians find sexy in a woman is a little bit different.
As a straight man (extremely straight, by the way), I contest that last sentence. The problem isn’t straight men. The problem is the kind of guys who read Maxim. (I do not read Maxim, by the way.)
But back to the point. Parker Posey made #88 on the AfterEllen.com Hot 100, proving that lesbians have better taste than Maxim readers.

P.P.S. As beautiful as I think Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose are, I have a confession to make. I still think Lauren Graham should have been #1.
