You may be wondering why I started a fan site for The Return of Jezebel James when it’s not even scheduled to premier for almost a year. And you may be wondering where I’m going to find enough content to keep the site interesting until then.
Hi. My name is Tim King. I’m a huge fan of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s work, especially Gilmore Girls. In fact, I’ve used the word genius. I even created a site, Gilmore-ism.com, dedicated to hard-core Gilmore Girls fandom. And that led me to seek out episodes of Roseanne, specifically those that Amy worked on.
And so when Amy announced that she was working on a pilot for Fox, I was ready to sign on, sight unseen. It wasn’t a question of whether I should put together a site for this new project. The only question was when. And there didn’t seem to be any rush, because I could post Jezebel James news to Gilmore-ism.com. But my time ran out when I started getting more Jezebel James-related news than I could reasonably post on a Gilmore Girls fan-site.
I got so much content, because it includes more than just announcements about Jezebel James and interviews with Amy Sherman-Palladino. It also includes pieces about Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose— And I’ve read more blog posts from Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose fans who are ready to plunge into Jezebel James, more of those posts than posts from Gilmore Girls fans.
Lauren and Parker have appeared in numerous movies, TV shows, and other works. And as a Jezebel James fan, I want to watch these. And I want to talk about them. Remember, I come from the Gilmore Girls side of the tracks. I started out not having seen even one Parker Posey movie. But now my NetFlix queue is loaded up with Parker Posey movies and episodes of Six Feet Under.
So it may be early, yes, but it’s still time for a Jezebel James fan site, to contain:
