Ugh. I had to mention this, because a Jezebel James fan actually was misled by this blurb on TV Guide. The blurb is not technically misleading or incorrect, but if you read it you may get the wrong idea. But I’ve researched the news from an independent source. Here’s the truth of the the situation…

The fan who emailed said that Canterbury’s Law was moving to Friday nights, in place of The Return of Jezebel James. This is not true. Jezebel James continues to run Friday nights at 8:30. Click to continue »

Jezebel james to Premier in March

According to a Fox press release, The Return of Jezebel James has been rescheduled to begin Friday, March 7, at 8:30 PM (following Til Death in its new time-slot, also beginning March 7).

Fox has changed its release schedule, the press release says, because of the Writers Guild of America strike. Although initial speculation had it that the strike might bring Jezebel James to our TV screens earlier, it looks like that is not how things turned out.

Less than 2 years ago, Amy Sherman-Palladino was producing Gilmore Girls, a TV series set in a tiny Connecticut town, about 2 hours out of New York City. Like most television programs, Gilmore Girls was filmed in the Hollywood area, on a Warner Brothers lot in Burbank, CA.

Now Amy and her husband and fellow show-runner Dan Palladino are moving to New York, as Lauren Graham let on in a recent on-line chat. Part of a growing exodus from Hollywood, they are moving in order to produce their new project The Return of Jezebel James. Click to continue »

7 Critics Speak about The Return of Jezebel James Pilot

Since the Fox upfronts, a number of critics have given their views on the pilot of The Return of Jezebel James. I have my own thoughts, and—sight unseen—I disagree with some of the critics on some pretty fundamental points. I very much want to write about these issues. But for now, I’ll just pass along the reviews. Click to continue »
